Dear friends, what with Covid-19 interrupting much
of our lives, we could easily get discouraged. Some have succumbed to
depression and committed suicide. It's heartbreaking. Many have lost their livelihood.
Others are working from home, and with schools closed, trying to work can be especially
difficult with kiddos running around. Add to that, all the violence.
Honestly, watching news coverage of riots, looting,
destruction of people's businesses, violence against others, and especially against
our police officers, is truly disheartening. At least 98 percent of law
enforcement are good people who give their lives to help and serve others, each
and every day—putting their lives on the line. Their families not knowing if
their loved one will come home from doing their duty. Yet a spirit of hate has
over taken many because of the murder of George Floyd, by a couple of bad
apples.
And the outcry has gone too far.
Desecrating public property, monuments that depict our
history, the good and the bad, is wrong. Our nation was founded on Godly
principles, yet a spirit of godlessness looks to be in control. Until I recently realized,
that which I see is not the same as what I believe. That God is still on His
throne. This is where choice comes in—choosing to believe truth rather than
lies.

Whether it looks like it or not, God is still in control.
He has a plan. And you can be part of it. Let's not allow the clamor of evil blind
us from seeing truth—from focusing our hearts and minds on that which is good. So
how do we keep from being swept into feelings of hopelessness?
Turn off the T.V. Turn off the radio. Stop what you're
doing, and pray. Open the Word of God. Ask the Lord to fill you with His Holy Spirit
and speak to you through His Word.
If you're a born again Christian, perhaps
you need this reminder. Read about the temple of the Living God: 2 Cor. 6:14-18. Many in the body of Christ are praying for revival. But it begins with the house
of God.
"The same God wants us in the action now. The
people we read about in the Bible are our older brothers and their stories can
help teach and guide our stories. But they've already finished playing their
game. The saints of the past can't fulfill God's plans now—only we can. So get
in uniform and strap on that helmet. Now, is our time to take the field. Get
off the bench—and get into the game, (Jonathan Cahn)." Read Ephes. 6:10-18
on spiritual warfare.
Choose to be a victor rather than a victim. Choose to
stand strong against the tide of lawlessness. Choose holiness and be holy as He
is Holy. Look for opportunities to shine for Him, and speak truth boldly, in
love.
l John 4:7-9,
"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves
has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God,
because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that
God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him."
I'm praying for you ~ Danie Marie
