WHO EXACTLY IS MOTHER EARTH?

Some of you may think this a silly question. But recently in the media in regards to wildfires wreaking havoc along the Westcoast, and the hurricanes, Nancy Pelosi said they are a result of "Mother Earth," being angered by the climate crisis. Really. If that's the case, what is it that made "Mother Earth" angry?

Let's take a look at the personification of Mother Nature, or Mother Earth. The idea came about and was popularized in the middle ages and has been traced to Ancient Greece. Greek mythology states that she is Gaia, or Mother Earth, who created herself out of primordial chaos. "From her fertile womb all life sprang, and unto Mother Earth all living things must return after their allotted span of life is over. Gaia, as Mother Nature personifies the entire ecosystem of Planet Earth (Greek Mythology)." She is one of many Greek Myths.

Do you realize, our children can no longer celebrate Easter in school? But guess what they do celebrate...Earth Day. Adrian Rogers puts it this way. "They celebrate dirt!"

Know this, Satan is a copy-cat. He seeks to replicate everything the Lord God does. The devil is an imposter who seeks to draw attention away from the God who saves, onto himself. The Holy Scriptures says that Satan is a liar and the father of all lies. He has deceived many, including Nancy Pelosi.

Nowhere in the Bible will you read a single word about "Mother Nature." She doesn't exist. She is a myth and a figment of people's imagination, spawned by the devil himself! Some base their religion on her, a fantasy with no substance. The Lord God, Jehovah, is the only One who created and controls these powerful elements, that He alone Created.

As for the fires in California? Gavin Newsom blames them on climate change. Let me enlighten you. For years our forests have been badly managed by the forestry service, in part because of those who fight against keeping them clean—as in clearing underbrush and cutting down dead trees—thinning away the dross, so to speak. Had we been diligent in doing so over the years, we wouldn't have the devastating fires we now have. Yes, past droughts contributed to the devastation, and perhaps climate change plays a small part. But working to keep our forests clear of deadwood is essential to keeping the fire danger down. When lightning strikes, a fire in a cleared forest would be easier to control.

The massive amount of smoke from the fires is causing more damage than any element created by man, that would result in climate change.

In closing, Mother Nature doesn't exist, so she can't be angry. On the other hand, I believe as a nation we have provoked our loving Father. God is longsuffering, He is merciful and gracious, but He will not hold back His hand of judgement forever. That which He allows is for our good, that we would look up and repent of our sins, and turn to Him in faith as Lord and Savior.

"Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth

(Psalm 124:8 ESV).

My prayer for you, "May you be strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered you from the dominion of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins, Colossians 1:11-14 ESV)." Amen.
